CertPrepper privacy policy

What happens to your study choices?

The practice tools work in your browser. Reading the site and contacting us involve other information, explained here.

What if I sign up for emails?

We use your email address to process your newsletter request. We email you a link to confirm your sign-up. A new CertPrepper subscription begins only after you open it and confirm on our website. We do not send an additional welcome email after confirmation. We retain the request details, source page, sign-up time and unsubscribe choices to manage that subscription. It does not join you to another publication's list.

The sign-up check uses browser and connection information to reduce spam and repeated requests. A temporary cookie displays the sign-up result. Our email and security service providers process the information needed to handle your request. You can unsubscribe through an issue’s link or contact us about your subscription information.

Are practice answers or study plans sent anywhere?

Practice choices and the study planner run in your browser. You can use the available print and download controls without emailing a plan or creating an account. The site’s search matches CertPrepper titles and summaries rather than asking an external search service. Search words appear in the URL, so keep private information out of them.

Is page use measured?

Yes. Umami provides cookieless page-view measurement, processing connection and browser information into audience statistics. Google Analytics uses analytics cookies. It runs on public pages by default. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Quebec and a few other places where prior agreement is expected, it starts only after you agree; we use country or region information from your connection to tell which applies. Measurement records the page address, the page title and the page that referred you.

We do not send names, email addresses, form text or this site’s URL query strings as analytics data. Audience analytics is excluded from private editorial previews. We do not use session replay.

Can I limit analytics cookies?

Where we ask first, “Cookie settings” in the footer lets you change your answer at any time, and a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track browser preference keeps Google Analytics off. Declining stops later Google Analytics measurement and attempts to remove its cookies that this page can reach. Everywhere, you can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and site storage. Google also offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site: Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Removing cookies does not erase data Google has already received. Cookieless Umami measurement continues either way.

What information is needed to load a page?

Hosting and security services process connection details such as IP address, requested page, browser information and request time to deliver the site, investigate errors and protect it. Security features may use cookies to distinguish legitimate traffic from abuse.

What if I email a question?

Your email supplies your address, message and any information or attachments you include. We use them to respond, investigate an issue or handle your request. Do not send passwords or sensitive account information.

Which services process information?

Hosting, security, email and audience measurement providers process information needed to operate the publication. Our analytics service provides Umami; Google processes Google Analytics data. Processing may occur outside your country. We may disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, abuse or security issues. External websites have their own privacy practices when you follow a link.

How can I ask about my information?

Contact contact@certprepper.com with privacy questions or requests for access, correction or removal of correspondence. We assess requests under the applicable rules and may need to verify your identity. Security needs, legal obligations or an unresolved request may require some records to be retained. Your browser also provides controls for cookies and site storage.

When does this policy change?

We revise it when our information practices change. Last updated September 14, 2026.
